Langley Community Services offers employment programs aimed to support our participants in gaining the skills, confidence and experience needed to find a job or move on to further training.
This is a youth employment program, designed to assist youth enter BC labour market. The program is 18-weeks in duration and consists of 6-weeks in class, with 12-weeks of job placement. The clients are paid whilst they attend the 6-week classes.
The program helps clients to be placed with employers in industries such as food industry, customer service/retail and warehouse. These are some specific industries that usually have ample job openings throughout the year. Job placements are ideally matched to client’s skill sets, education, experience and interest. This program is helpful for all youth and including those who have little or no work experience.

Designed for those with a BCEA PWD designation; have completed their grade 12; are on EI or have had a claim in the last 5 years or have earned more than $2,000 in insurable earnings and paid Employee EI premiums on the earnings in at least 5 of the last 10 years. This program provides participants with the opportunity to Obtain an Education Assistant (EA) Diploma, receives many additional certificates, a practicum, career opportunities and a potential wage of up to $28/per hour.

Designed for those Unemployed, employed (part-time 30 hours or less/week, seasonal or casual) or precariously employed (employed but at risk of losing a job and in need of training for a new job) This program provides participants with the opportunity to Obtain a Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, receives many additional certificates, a practicum, career opportunities and a potential wage of up to $28/per hour.

This is group-based, full-time program consisting of fourteen (14) weeks of essential skills training, employability skills training and occupational skills training, four (4) weeks of on-the-job work experience and three (3) weeks of job search plus follow-up support in order to prepare participants for employment in the telecommunications, communications, security systems, alarm installations, and electrical industries.

ISSLP is a 6-week program that meets the unique needs of diverse youth population to return to school, complete high school, upgrade high school credentials, and/or enter into post-secondary education or skills training to continue their studies and prepare for future success.
